Kari Marsh is the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Bayfield Intermediate and Primary School and coordinates programming and evaluation services for gifted and talented students. The programming for the 23/24 school year includes:

Student evaluation for giftedness based on student referrals and universal screenings

Advanced Learning Plan (ALP) Goal Setting

  • Pull-out Groups focused on ALP’s, social and emotional lessons, gifted-focused discussions

Advanced Math Intervention 

  • Students scoring at the 85th percentile or higher on NWEA 
  • Flexible Group based on student need

Advanced ELA Interventions

  • Students scoring at the 85th percentile or higher on NWEA 
  • Flexible Group based on student need

Teacher Support with Core Curriculum

  • Differentiation support
  • Planning support

Parent Support

  • Family nights specific to gifted students and their families
  • Strategies and resources to help parents understand and support their gifted child(ren).
