On Saturday, December 1st, 2 Lego League Robotics teams competed at the First Lego League Qualifier at Escalante Middle School. Teams competed in four areas: Robotics, Robot Design, Core Values and Project Presentations under the theme of "Into Orbit." Teams have worked since August to create a solution for a current problem with long term space travel. The Apollo Lego team changed a toothbrush design to reduce the amount of water needed and the Bayfield Wolverines team proposed future space colonists use insects as a sustainable and nutritious food source. Congratulations to the Bayfield Wolverines for qualifying for state and placing 1st in the project section. The Wolverines will travel to Denver for that state tournament December 15th.
