About Mrs. Lee

Hello! My name is Jo Lee, and you can call me Mrs. Lee. I am excited to explore the world of STEM – science, technology, engineering, and math – with you this year!
I am an area native – I was not born in the area, but my family moved here when I was just a few months old, and I have been here ever since. I graduated from Bayfield High School in 2000, then attended Fort Lewis College where I met my husband Matt. We have four amazing kids and one equally amazing son-in-law: Anna married to Noah (both 21 years old), Benen (18 years old), Somer (15 years old), and Timothy (13 years old). Matt is in full-time ministry with Great Commission Alliance, a musician, a computer nerd, and a fantastic husband and father. I spend most of my free time with my family and love it. I love the Colorado weather, mountains, and small towns. I like hiking, taking pictures, and getting coffee with friends and family. I homeschooled my children for nine years, and I was then drawn to become a classroom teacher. I finished my degree in Elementary Education with High Honors from Colorado Christian University in May of 2020. In September of 2025 I received my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I love school and the adventure of learning and teaching. Teaching is a work of love, calling, and passion, not just a job.
