My name is Johnna Jacobsen, and I have twenty-six years of experience fostering creativity and artistic expression in young minds. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed and implemented engaging visual arts curricula that teach fundamental artistic skills and promote critical thinking, cultural awareness, and self-expression. My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that art education is essential for developing well-rounded individuals. Through art, students learn problem-solving, self-expression, and appreciation for diverse perspectives – skills that extend far beyond the art room. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to take creative risks and discover their unique artistic voices.
