Title 1 Program

Hello and Welcome! 

Title I is a federal aid program through which most Colorado school districts receive funding to provide supplemental instruction for those students who qualify. The Title I program at Bayfield Intermediate School primarily focuses on reading/math intervention and is designed to supplement services to students through a small group pullout program.  Students meet and receive intensive instruction for 60 minutes daily.        

Curriculum that is used in this program is comprehensive, research-based reading and language arts/math programs. Each program is designed to help students build the critical skills needed to be successful readers and mathematicians. Through a flexible approach of whole-class instruction, differentiated small-group instruction, and individual student practice, students are met at their skill levels. Continuous progress monitoring allows for differentiated instruction based on individual student needs.
